a tragic love story from the Old Testament.
a seductress.a mighty Nazareth.
pagan and Yahweh.
Philistine and Hebrew.
Love and Betrayal.
after reading wonderful historical fiction from India Edghill,
it suddenly occurs to me that..
Historical 'facts' may not be so factual after all.
for only they know what happened between them.
most depicts Delilah as a heartless seductress whom sacrifices the love of a man for the hunger of wealth.
however,i especially like how India twisted the story and made Delilah,
from a heartless woman to someone who's trapped in the middle.
who knows,
maybe,just maybe..
theres more truth in the novel than it most scriptures?
nonetheless,the novel is such a beautiful literation of them.
a tragic forbidden love trapped between culture and politics.
the moon & the sun.
forever together,despite everything.
oh,
i love love love historical fiction!
